WRITING EXTRUDED

Writing Extruded is a large-scale sculptural pencil inspired by childlike imagination. My hope for this piece is that it brings a sense of awe and wonder to peoples' eyes and minds. The form is influenced by the squishing and twisting of Play-Doh, the pattern pulls from composition notebooks, and the fuzzy eraser makes for a tactile surprise. This is my largest pencil to date, coming in at over 9ft. long, and the first one I created. This piece was displayed at ArtFields in Lake City, SC.
