Abby Edwards is a multidisciplinary artist based in Savannah, Georgia. She holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is a self-taught sculptor and painter. Her creative practice spans painting, installation, sculpture, and public art, with her work exhibited at venues including the Jepson Center, ARTS Southeast, Gallery 2424, The Thompson, and Gutstein Gallery in Savannah; the Lamar Dodd Art Center in LaGrange; Westobou Gallery in Augusta; and ATHICA in Athens, Georgia.
In addition to gallery exhibitions, Abby has collaborated with organizations such as Fantastic Fungi, UNFK, CAT Savannah Transit, and SCAD. Notably, two of her signature giant pencil sculptures were donated to elementary schools, blending her artistic vision with community engagement.
Her work delves into the human experience through a lens of absurdist humor and childlike curiosity, transforming the ordinary and challenging perceptions. Inspired by the unexpected, Abby strives to create imaginative spaces that encourage viewers to break free from conventional norms and reconnect with their sense of wonder.
